TYPOLOGY OF DRIVER BEHAVIOURS: A SURVEY APPROACH
TYPOLOGIE DES COMPORTEMENTS DES CONDUCTEURS AUTOMOBILES: APPROCHE PAR ENQUETE
A questionnaire survey was made of 996 French car drivers selected on the basis of age, sex, and mileage per year. The questionnaire included 42 groups of questions on car use, attitude towards fuel saving, driving behavior, and the personality and character of drivers. The study concluded that personality and psychological characteristics influence driver behavior. Behavior may be modified by motivation campaigns.
