A LOOK AT WHAT SOME STATES ARE DOING. EAGLES CAUSE HIGHWAY HAZARD
In an effort to warn motorists of the possbile hazard and protect both motorists and eagles, signs have been installed on Southern Utah's Interstate 70 to warn motorists about eagles feeding on the highway. The birds, which are protected by law, are hit while they feed on the carcasses of other animals which have been hit by vehicles. The signs, which are four by four, are yellow with black lettering saying "Eagles on Highway." Work is also planned to modify utility poles in the area which have been determined to be hazardous to the eagle.
