STATE AND LOCAL LEGISLATION ON FUNDING ISSUES. PROCEEDINGS OF THE 74TH ANNUAL ROAD SCHOOL HELD AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY, MARCH 8-10, 1988
Although 450 bills were introduced, only 111 were passed on to be signed. Among them were a number of items which directly affect the highways and are expected to increase revenues. They include, but are not limited to: bills to allow counties to bond for roads if they meet certain requirements and bonding for highways by the state, an increase in the motor carrier surtax and registration fees, and the special fuel tax.
