EUROPEAN PROJECTS PROLIFERATE
Dedicated high-speed lines like the TGV in France, a.o. in Germany, Italy and Spain and plans for building them in Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and Britain are described. A map shows a European network of high-speed line, with existing lines, lines under construction and proposed lines. Emphasis is given on the German Transrapid maglev network and the 250 km/h ETR 450 trains.
