ON THE ESTIMATION OF LANE FLOWS FOR INTERSECTION ANALYSIS
The answer to the question of individual drivers' lane choice is not straightforward (as also is the case for route choice). At this stage, the author feels that the equal degree of saturation principle used in SIDRA provides a satisfactory lane flow estimation method which gives a solution between the equal delay and equal queue length methods.
