This pamphlet summarizes the existing knowledge on roads reserved for pedestrians. A study is made of the problems encountered when setting up pedestrian-reserved zones in town centres. Special mention is made of the pedestrian precincts in Cologne and Avignon and of some experiments in the United Kingdom and in Sweden. /TRRL/
