ZONES PIETONNIERES EN CENTRE VILLE - QUATRE EXPERIENCES FRANCAISES: ROUEN, GRENOBLE, AVIGNON, CHERBOURG
In approximately 20 towns in France, traffic restraint and pedestrianization experiments were carried out. This pamphlet describes 4 of them in Rouen, Grenoble, Avignon and Cherbourg. Details are given of the conditions in the zone before the operation started, criteria for the selection of a zone for the experiment, characteristics and costs of the installation, reactions to the project, legal and financial problems encountered, various regulations which had to be set up, and the results obtained. /TRRL/
