INTRODUCTION TO A NEW APPARATUS FOR HYDRAULIC FRACTURING TESTS

The apparatus described in this technical note has several distinctive features. Seepage and force boundary conditions can be controlled separately and strictly. The stress of the specimen during the consolidation process can be controlled. The specimen can be controlled in a plane strain rate. The special structure of the internal and external drainage layer ensure that water flows freely in the seam. The device works without time suspension, so that the process of seepage and loading can be continuous.
