DRUNK DRIVING, NOT A MALE-ONLY ISSUE
Incidences of females driving under the influence are increasing in North Carolina. Reasons attributed to this change include changes in lifestyle wherein more females are remaining single, thus driving themselves more often, social trends making social drinking more acceptable for females, and hormone levels and physiologic reactions which may cause females to become impaired more rapidly and at lower blood alcohol levels than males.
