HYDROLOGIC APPROACH TO PREDICTION OF SEDIMENTATION YIELD
This study found that by separating and computing the overland flow component from the total river flow discharge, the suspended-sediment discharge can be estimated by an exponential relation between the overland flow component and the suspended-sediment discharge. The result was found to be in agreement with the observed data. This formulation is based on the consideration that the suspended sediment is yielded and transported pricipally by the overland flow.
