SEISMIC RESPONSE OF LOW-RISE STEEL FRAMES
An analytical procedure is presented for determining the moment-rotation relationship for bolted top and seat angle connections. The analytical joint model presented in this stdy can also be utilized for the analysis of top and seat angle with web angle connection with minimal modifications. DRAIN-2D computer program is used for the nonlinear dynamic analysis of the steel frames with semirigid joint elements. The details of the study are described, and the conclusions drawn from the study are presented.
