ANOTHER ADVANCE IN BIG-DIESEL EFFICIENCY

With air-to-air intercooling and some subtle changes to the combustion-bowl geometry, the fuel economy of the 12.17-litre six-cylinder Rolls-Royce Eagle engine has been improved to a level that has so far been thought to require electronic control of the fuel injection. This accomplishment by Perkins Technology is discussed in detail in this article.
