FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS OF SYNTHETIC RESIN ON LONG SPAN BRIDGES
LE PAVIMENTAZIONI SOTTILI IN RESINA SINTETICA NEI PONTI A GRANDE LUCE
The development of long span steel bridges, such as recent structures in Japan, highlights the problem of the optimization of structural dead weight in order to achieve greater spans. This study describes some technical solutions involving the use of thin and ultra thin pavings based on synthetic resin mixtures, citing examples in Europe (France, Germany, Italy), Japan and the USA.
