TRAFFIC IMPACT FEES IN COLORADO

The results are described of a case study of 4 Colorado jurisdictions that have developed formal traffic impact fee policies and structures. The selection of jurisdictions was based on the results of a 1987 study which identified cities and counties in Colorado and Wyoming that have had significnt experience with traffic impact fees. A summary is also presented of Denver-area developers' views on the role of impact fees in the development process, and their general experince with the various structures of impact fee programs.
