ELEVATOR TRAFFIC ANALYSIS: BEYOND THE SIMPLE NUMBERS
Discusses pedestrian and freight traffic analysis of elevators. Describes the criteria by which elevators should be designed in buildings. Lobby width and access are seen as an important consideration in determining the elevator arrangements in any building. Queuing space is important. A limited discussion of escalators is also presented.
