POLICY EVALUATION FOR A BUS-BASED TRANSIT SYSTEM: THE CASE STUDY OF BUSAN KOREA FROM UNIVERSITY MICROFILMS. THESIS

A methodology for evaluating urban public transportation policy options is presented. The methodology is then applied to the city of Busan, Korea to identify and assess options for enhancing its public transportation system. The limited financial resources typical of developing areas is a factor in this study, and is recognized as a constraint in evaluating policy options. The study concludes with a consideration of the adequacy of the evaluation methodology and its general applicability.
