WIND LOADING ASPECTS OF THE NEW BRIDGE CODE AND OF THE DRAFT CODE FOR LATTICE TOWERS. PAPER 12. WIND ENGINEERING IN THE EIGHTIES, CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS, 12-13 NOVEMBER 1988
This paper describes the wind loading aspects of two British Standards: the loading section of the new bridge code BS 5400 Part 2; and the draft standard for lattice towers: loading. The research adopted in these two codes is described, covering design aspects for wind loading on bridge superstructures and piers. Special attention is paid to aerodynamics, gusting effects and drag coefficients. (TRRL)
