USERS MANUAL FOR TIEREN; CROSSTIE RENEWAL PLANNING MODEL
TIEREN is a personal computer based Crosstie Renewal Planning Model. It was developed by the AAR Track Maintenance Research Committee and is capable of predicting future tie renewal requirements and the distribution of failed tie clusters. This report details the operation of this model. Data requirements, operating instructions, model capabilities, and example "runs" are all discussed.
