RESULTS OF WIND TUNNEL AND FULL-SCALE TESTS CONDUCTED FROM 1983 TO 1987 IN SUPPORT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN RAILROADS' TRAIN ENERGY PROGRAM
Models of railroad equipment were tested in wind tunnels to develop an aerodynamic drag data base for train resistance simulations. The tests included an examination of car spacing and crosswind effects.
