AUTOMOBILE IMPACT TESTS. SEPTEMBER 1980-NOVEMBER 1988 (CITATIONS FROM THE NTIS DATABASE)
This bibliography contains citations concerning impact tests to evaluate car designs and to study passenger safety. Both accident and staged impact tests contribute to collision research and crashworthiness. The tests include research on standard vehicles, damage susceptibility, and structural studies for design and evaluation of bumpers, doors, front end, and impact-absorbing members. Passenger safety studies include anthropomorphic test dummies as well as crash victim studies. These accident and impact research studies include injury type and severity, biomechanics, occupant protection design, and modeling data. (This updated bibliography contains 220 citations, 65 of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
