FISCALIZING PAID PARKING
FISCALISERING VAN HET BETAAID PARKEREN
In the municipality of Utrecht a demonstration project on regulated parking was introduced. The main set-up of the project and countermeasures taken to prevent parking where paring is not allowed are discussed in IRRD 803377. The report is concerned with the fiscalizing of the paid parking. Fiscalizing can be described as the transfer of the sanctions on illegal use of parking provisions from criminal law to the fiscal law. Offences are to be imposed using a fixed amount. The results show that the road user is also more motivated to pay for parking provisions due to the fiscal settlements.
