A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH INTO THE PROBLEMS OF TRAFFIC VICTIMS
EEN KWALITATIEF ONDERZOEK NAAR DE PROBLEMATIEK VAN VERKEERSSLACHTOFFERS
Qualitative research into the problems of traffic victims is presented. The second phase of the research consisted of an interview held in more than 24000 households on how the medical, financial, juridical and/or psychical problems of victims of traffic accidents were considered. The first chapter gives an overview of the analysis of the interview techniques. Chapter II discusses the emotional consequences following the traffic accident. Chapter III reviews the temporary and (semi) permanent consequences and the resulting medical, financial and psycho-social problems. Chapter IV describes the support needed for such problems and for the prevention of such problems. In particular the role of the police is mentioned. Final results, conclusions and recommendations are given in chapter VI. See also IRRD 815501-815502.
