ELECTRONIC INTERLOCKING

ELEKTRONISCHES STELLWERK

The objective of this research work was design and test of an operator's desk using state of the art microprocessor technology and the latest control and display techniques. The development was based on the DB-Specification for a new man-machine interface for electronic interlocking (January '86). SEL developed a lab model according to standard ergonomic practice. A digitizer is used for inputting and monitors or alternatively a panel with LED-devices are used for display purposes. The microprocessor technology permits easy adaptation to electronic interlocking. The lab model was tested in Stuttgart. The results of operational "on line" tests on a DB-line will establish the practical acceptability. The partners DB and DEC have a positive opinion of this new operator's desk.
