STUDY ON THE APPLICATION OF THE CONCRETE TEST HAMMER FOR STABILITY ESTIMATION OF BEDROCK OF UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES. LARGE ROCK CAVERNS - PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM, HELSINKI, FINLAND, 25-28 AUGUST 1986. VOLUME 2
The concrete test hammer is used as a simplified method to estimate concrete strength from the degree of rebound of the hammer in a non-destructive manner. With the authors' improved version of the concrete test hammer for measuring bedrock, it is possible to estimate the order of rock properties. Therefore, the authors have examined the applicability of the concrete test hammer to large rock caverns. For the covering abstract of the symposium see IRRD 810647. (Author/TRRL)
