SPATIAL DIFFERENCES IN LEISURE-TIME BEHAVIOUR AND LEISURE-TIME TRIPS. TRANSPORTATION PLANNING RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM 1987, EIGHT MILLION CARS IN 2010, THE HAGUE, NOVEMBER 26-27, 1987
RUIMTELIJKE VERSCHILLEN IN VRIJE TIJD GEDRAG EN VRIJE TIJD VERPLAATSINGEN
This paper deals with the influence of personal characteristics and the character of the home location upon leisure-time behaviour and upon travel patterns for this purpose. By means of a typological approach, six different types of home locations are compared. One conclusion of this explorative survey is that leisure time behaviour is mainly influenced by personal characteristics. Consequently, differences between home locations can often be related to differences in the population structure. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 811092. (TRRL)
