DEPOT LOCATION ANALYSIS OF WEST-NEDERLAND REGIONAL BUS COMPANY. TRANSPORTATION PLANNING RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM 1987, EIGHT MILLION CARS IN 2010, THE HAGUE, NOVEMBER 26-27, 1987
VESTIGINGSPLAATSONDERZOEK VERVOERBEDRIJF WEST-NEDERLAND
Westnederland (a regional bus company in the Netherlands) has, in cooperation with the Netherlands Institute of Transport, analyzed its depot locations. The research shows that slight differences to the existing configuration as well as small changes in the overnight depot capacities, can result in large savings in the access and egress mileage made by all the buses to the service network. This paper summarizes the research project. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 811092. (Author/TRRL)
