KEUZEVRIJ IN DE RIJ? SUBSTITUTIEMOGELIJKHEDEN VAN AUTO NAAR OPENBAAR VERVOER

Several studies have shown that the possibilities for car drivers to make use of public transport, are influenced by both objective and subjective constraints. This paper summarizes some research findings from studies, commissioned by the Projectbureau for Integrated Transport Studies. On the one hand, objective constraints are dealt with, such as those appearing in the "Corridorstudie Parkeer-en-Reis" (NVI). Some simulations have been carried out with the mode choice model, which has been developed in this study. On the other hand, subjective constraints are dealt with, based on the pilot study "Substitutiemogelijkheden Auto -Openbaar Vervoer" (ITS). At the end of the paper, some current studies are mentioned which aim to analyse in more detail the question of substitution. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 811092. (TRRL)
