AUGUST TRAFFIC DEATHS DECLINE 6%

Tabulated data are presented that show that motor vehicle deaths in August 1988 totaled 4,600 compared to the August 1987 total of 4,890. Similarly, data for disabling injuries, the cost of motor vehicle accidents, and vehicle mileage are reported.
