A BUS AND A HALF

The prevost H5-60, an articulated intercity bus, is described. It is a bus and a half long, measures 18 m long, and carries 72 seated passengers. It has a dual steering system, articulation, anti-lock braking on each wheel, rust-proof stainless steel structure, and a completely redesigned driver's cab made of composite materials which resist rust. Innovative design features include the one-of-kind articulation system with self-adjusting shock absorbers mounted directly on the articuation table, which gives the vehicle greater forward stability. A company that has purchased the buses hopes to keep fares down by catering to business travellers and running at full or close to full capacity.
