NEW FORD MIDRANGE DIESEL TRUCKS

When Ford decided to offer a midrange diesel engine family in medium trucks, it was recognized that the power-train had to be considered as a complete system in order to assure optimum compatibility. This paper describes how program objectives were established and the necessary validation programs for the truck, engine, and the chassis were conducted. /GMRL/
