THE INFLAMMABILITY AND DISPERSION OF LNG VAPOR CLOUDS
This paper analyzes the inflammability and dispersion characteristics of vapor clouds resulting from instantaneous spills of LNG on water. First, the statistical properties of the instantaneous concentration peaks in the gas cloud are developed from empirical data. Next, a model of the mean vapor concentration in the cloud is established and a comparision between theoretical predictions and experimental reseults is presented along with numerical results of distances corresponding to various flammability conditions.
