METEOROLOGICAL ASPECTS OF HAZARDOUS CARGO RISK ACCIDENT ASSESSMENT ON INLAND WATERWAYS

The risk involved in any potential mishap in the transportation of hazardous cargoes on inland waterways should consider the exposure risk to people from releases to both the waterway and the atmosphere. This paper identifies several of the important parameters for the atmospheric pathway. The uses of meteorology data are discussed.
