PERFORMANCE STUDIES OF KEEWATIN CHANNEL BRIDGE
This report describes the structural evaluation and load test study performed on keewatin channel bridge. The bridge is a three pin arch structure with 104.0 m span. The structural evaluation under Ontario highway bridge design code (ohbdc) level 3 live loads and including the increased dead loads to accomodate a proposed rehabilitation scheme indicated that selected truss top chords, verticals and diagonals require strengthening. The test results showed that none of the above members require strengthening to carry out the proposed rehabilitation work and to carry ohbdc loads without posting. (Author/TRRL)
