CONCEPT VIABILITY STUDY FOR A COMBINATION FLATBED TRAILER/DRY BULK TANKER (BULKTRAILER II)
The bulktrailer II is a combination flatbed trailer/dry bulk tanker incorporating a flexible container system. Features of the trailer include low tare weight and high payload capacity. The bulktrailer II was found to have a competitive edge over existing equipment by virtue of its operating flexibility and lower construction and operating costs. Potential markets in the Canadian trucking industry were identified. The report recommends construction and operational testing of a prototype. (TRRL)
