SAFETY MANUAL FOR PROPANE BUS SYSTEMS
This report is a reference source and training aid for the safe operation and maintenance of propane buses. It discusses the properties of automotive grade propane, the means available to convert conventional diesel buses to propane-engined units, and the regulations, practices and equipment necessary to store the fuel at the garage, refuel buses, convert and test buses, garage and repair the vehicles and operate them in revenue service. Particular attention is given to the prevention of fires and to methods for containing the risk and damage from fires, should they occur. (TRRL)
