SUMMARY OF KNOWN NAVIGATION EFFECTS AND A PRIORITY LIST OF DATA GAPS FOR THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF NAVIGATION ON THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER

A study compiled a prioritized list of data gaps related to the effects of navigation in the upper Mississippi River on the River's environmental resources. A summary of perceived priorities based on inputs from 29 expert evaluators is included. Information is included on the method of prioritization and on a wide number of recommended activities under a variety of categories. Data sheets delineating the results of the survey are appended.
