SURVEY OF DRINK-DRIVING BEHAVIOUR, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES IN VICTORIA, DECEMBER 1983
In December 1983, a survey was conducted of 620 Victorian adults who drive a motor vehicle, and drink alcohol. Questions were asked about their drinking and drink-driving in the week prior to the administration of the survey, and their blood alcohol concentration (BAC) at the time they drove was calculated. Data are presented on the circumstances that led to driving with a BAC exceeding 0.05 g/100 ml, and on the knowledge and attitudes to drink driving of the sample surveyed. Comparisons are made with the results of a similar survey conducted in December 1978.
