TURBULENT FLOW OF A LIQUID IN AN ANISTROPICALLY ROUGH CHANNEL
In this paper the theoretical solution is obtained for the problem of turbulent isothermal flow of a liquid in the gap between anisotropically rough plates parallel to each other. When solving the problem, the equations of turbulent lubrication are used, and the quadratic law of resistance on rough walls is assumed. The pressure distributions in the clearance and the distribution of the velocity vector averaged with respect to the channel height are found. The relation is obtained for the liquid flow rates in the channel in two mutually perpendicular directions as a function of the ratio of the resistance coefficients of the channel in these directions.
