CALCULATING SETTLEMENTS CAUSED BY DYNAMIC LOAD. PROCEEDINGS OF THE ELEVENTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOIL MECHANICS AND FOUNDATION ENGINEERING, SAN FRANCISCO, 12-16 AUGUST 1985

The paper deals with settlements of foundations in cohesionless soils brought about by the dynamic load of the stationary excitation of machine foundations. An equation is given which allows for estimating settlements caused by dynamic load which have to be expected, provided parameters of excitation and of the subgrade are known.
