SINGLE SERVER QUEUEING-LOCATION MODELS WITH REJECTION
This paper analyzes single server queueing-location models which allow selective rejection of calls. Two models are considered. The Rejection Model (RM) allows a call to be rejected independent of the system state when the call arrives. The Rejection When Busy Model (RWBM) allows a call to be rejected only if it finds the server busy upon arrival. Included in the discussion are: a greedy heuristic which obtains solutions parametrically in the arrival rate; the extreme case analysis with respect to the arrival rate; a numerical example; and future research possibilities.
