DIAMOND SAWING CUTS CONTRACT TIME ON M-WAY MAINTENANCE SCHEMES
Diamond sawing consists of a single line of cut and leaves behind a clean edge resulting in minimal disturbance to adjacent surfaces. It offers speed, accuracy, and in a great many cases the use of full-depth diamond sawing will show a distinct cost-saving advantage. The same basic diamond sawing technique can be used for safety grooving and grinding (bumpcutting). An example of a current diamond sawing contract on Britain's aging M1 is discussed.
