MODEL OF A HAZARDOUS ROAD BEND IN TERMS OF DRIVER-VEHICLE SYSTEM BEHAVIOUR

MODEL OPASNOG CESTOVNOG ZAVOJA U TERMINIMA PONASANJA SUSTAVA VOZAC-VOZILO

A number of analyses of driver behaviour have been performed in order to find out the relationship between the geometric characteristics of the road and the characteristics of driver behaviour. Some of the analyses are related to hazardous bends where more accidents occurred in comparison with similar road bends. The fact has been established that there is a close relationship between the driver-vehicle system and hazardous bends. The article reviews some test results, according to which a model of hazardous road bends related to the behaviour of the driver-vehicle system is designed. (TRRL)
