HIGHWAY AIR QUALITY, VOLUME 1. DESIGN OF AIR MONITORING SURVEYS; AND VOLUME 2. MONITORING MANUAL

Highway engineers have a responsible role in enhancing and protecting the environment. They will have to consider a variety of factors in the environmental impact of any highway project and complete a number of studies prior to writing an impact statement. One of the studies is concerned with the gathering of field data, analysis of such data, and writing of an air quality report. This report provides technical information for those engineers involved in evaluating air quality near highways and overall transportation systems. Volume 1 provides information for individuals ingaged in planning, designing, and managing air quality monitoring studies. Volume 2 contains information directed toward meeting the needs of field personnel responsible for conducting the field investigations. /FHWA/
