CUTTING OF ROAD TUNNELS WITHOUT BLASTING
ISKOP CESTOVNIH TUNELA BEZ MINIRANJA
The article discusses tunnel cutting, equipment, construction organisation and its efficiency. It briefly presents the new Austrian construction method, the bernold method known also as the new Swiss construction method, and the new French method. The author points to the advantages of rock cutting and to the necessity of selecting the best method (blasting or cutting) for each particular case. (TRRL)
