SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS OF BUS RIDERS AND NON-RIDERS FOR DIFFERENT TRANSPORTATION METHODS
Transportation planners are facing increasing competitive pressures and require knowledge of the consumer travel mode choice process to respond to those pressures. A study was conducted to determine whether a situational analysis of mode choice and choice determinants can provide meaningful information to facilitate strategic planning for mass transit systems. The results support the use of a situational framework for marketing planning.
