SUBDRAINAGE COLLECTOR/CONDUIT SYSTEM FOR TRACK
The Hydraway Drain is described which was originally designed for highway drainage improvement, and is now being used to improve railway track drainage as well. Referred to as the "edge" or "fin" drain, it is formed from a continuously injection-molded, low-density polyethylene core around which is wrapped non-woven, needle-punched geotextile. When mated with appropriate fittings and other drainage items, Hydraway can be configured into a wide variety of subdrainage layouts. Hydraway drain can also be used in conjunction with open joint or perforated pipe within a backfilled trench. It can also be used as an edge drain. The Hydraway Drain System will reduce the amount of labor, equipment, materials, and therfore overall cost of installing highway or track drainage.
