ARIZONA'S FIVE-YEAR TRANSPORTATION CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

The Five-Year Transportation Construction Program is a budget outlining what the state expects to receive in funds and how it proposes to speed them (respecting the limitations of law on the usage of highway and aviation revenues), project by project. Arizona's priority programming law insures that the program is based on an accurate funding forecast. Construction projects are evaluated systematically by a Priority Programming task force charged with reviewing all needed improvements on the State Highway System. Tabulations and maps are used to illustrate the total 5-year program for the seven districts. Airport construction data for 1975-76 and 1976-77 are also presented. Projects under contract and programmed for the $798,200,000 program are indicated.
