LABORATORY STUDY OF TECHNICAL PROPERTIES OF SOME WASTE PRODUCTS FROM DIFFERENT KINDS OF COAL COMBUSTION PROCESSES

TEKNISKA EGENSKAPER HOS RESPRODUKTER FRAAN KOLFOERBRAENNING - EN LABORATORIESTUDIE

This report is the result of a laboratory study of technical properties of some waste products from different kinds of coal combustion processes and flue gas desulfurization. Three fly ashes from pulverized coal combustion, two fly ashes from grate firing, one fly ash from an oil combustion, four bottom ashes and two kinds of flue gas desulfurization products (wet-dry fgd and wet fgd) have been investigated. A mixture of fly ash and fgd-products have also been studied. A comparison of the examined waste products and three fly ashes from a literature review is made. The investigations have comprised chemical analyses, microstructure, general technical parameters, compaction properties, strength and strain properties and permeability. (Author/TRRL)
