PORTABLE TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT ROADWORKS ON SINGLE CARRIAGEWAY ROADS
This Departmental Standard sets out the requirements for the use of portable traffic signals at sites on two-way roads where roadworks temporarily restrict the carriageway so that it will only carry one lane of traffic at a time. Details are given of some terms used in the standard together with details of notification of roadworks, mode of operation (vehicle actuation, manual operation, fixed time operation) and equipment used.
