MARKET RESEARCH. MARKETING TECHNIQUE AND SERVICE TO PORT USERS
Discussion is presented of market research as potentially an important marketing tool for the ports industry, an industry where marketing manpower must necessarily be a scarce commodity in relation to the very large number of users and potential users. In such a situation, it is especially important to pinpoint the traffic flows, the users or groups of users which potentially could be attracted to a port, and which are sufficiently large to justify the marketing effort involved.
